I know Patrick probably won't love me mentioning this, but I have known this young man since he was a little one. Our families have attended the same elementary and middle schools and his sisters attended the same high school. His sisters even graduated with my oldest and middle kids. A few years back, I photographed his sister, Theresa, for her senior pictures. Because Patrick attends McQuaid Jesuit High School, I didn't think I'd hear from mom for his senior pictures so it was with true pleasure to get a call from her. "He's getting his yearbook picture done by the school photographer, but I want pictures of the real Patrick!" Naturally, I was so pleased and really truly honored. I always am when someone chooses Hayes Photography for their portraits.
Patrick is an athlete through and through. He plays football for school and is a goalie for the Perinton Blades. I photographed him on my property, taking advantage of the woodland location as well as the architecture of my home. Then it was into the studio for some fun with hockey gear. Patrick was a real sport (lol, get it? Sport?, ha ha) and the results were great! To finish off the session, dad brought over his baby...his Camaro Z28 and we shot a few with just Patrick and then dad and Patrick. Just don't get any ideas about who's car it is, right Patrick?!
To finish off the sports portraits, I went to the ice rink where Patrick plays some of his games and shot location images. Back in the studio on my computer, I merged the studio images and the rink images to create this unique final sportsrait (sports portrait). So cool! I also had the opportunity to photograph one of his games and the plan is to combine the senior and sports portraits with the game images into a Memory Album. What a great way to celebrate Patrick's senior year!! Thank you Monahan family and best of luck to you Patrick for the rest of your senior year!!!
I'm sure Patrick would love to hear from you. Make sure to comment on his images!
