An English teacher and an Art teacher, true love from the first date. Although they work in the same building and even share some of the same students, they really don't see one another during their work day, except for their lunch date. Every day during C period, they meet in Todd's room and they wouldn't have it any other way.
“Lunch date?”
“Date day?”
"These are common questions we hear when our co-workers see us sitting down for lunch together. Somehow, these same people fail to notice the 20 plus students that are surrounding us on our so-called “romantic” date. Each day, we eat lunch together surrounded by students who may or may not be a part of our conversations. Every year, the crowd changes, but the chaos is the same. It has certainly made for some interesting lunch dates, and it has kept us from becoming the ‘dining dead’.
Lunch conversations are never stale, even if the tortilla chips are. Teenagers are an endless stream of drama and hilarity, even more so in the art room. We wanted to capture the feeling of our lunches with these teenagers who constantly help us to evolve and stay interesting. (It's a tough job.)
If you are looking for a way to spice up your dates, we suggest planting yourself in the middle of a room full of smart, creative, passionate teenagers and just see what happens."
