Yet another of my Hayes Photography seniors was featured in the news recently. This time, it was Rachel Czap of Webster Schroeder High School for her accomplishments with the Master Minds. The team at Schroeder made it to the Regional Championships, making history for the district as this was the first time a school in Webster made it so far! Master Minds is an academic competition where schools go head to head against one another in the field of general knowledge. Although they were defeated by Brighton High School, they took home 2nd place honors. Rachel, the captain, was awarded All-Star Honors, Tournament Team Honors and Team High Scorer. Congratulations to the entire Master Mind team!!
I had the pleasure of photographing Rachel at the George Eastman House in the city of Rochester this past summer. What a great location for senior portraits! If you've never been there before, you really need to make a visit. Not only are the grounds and gardens beautiful, but you can tour the stately home of the father of popular photography. The galleries are always showing some truly excellent current and past photographic art and there's a cafe to relax and have a snack or lunch in. We were able to capture some lovely images utilizing several areas around the museum and Rachel did a terrific job. She's headed off to Binghamton University in the Fall. I wish her well and want to thank her and her mom for choosing me for senior portraits!
